To pair the Hunter ROAM-KIT transmitter and receiver, please follow these steps:
1. Install the receiver: Connect the receiver unit (ROAM-R) to your irrigation controller using the included SmartPort wiring harness. The SmartPort wiring harness can be extended using the optional ROAM-WH or ROAM-SCWH harnesses if needed.
2. Power up the receiver: Ensure that the receiver is connected to a 24 VAC power source. The receiver requires a power supply of 0.010 A.
3. Install batteries in the transmitter: Open the battery compartment on the transmitter unit (ROAM-TR) and insert the included 4 AAA batteries. Make sure to observe the correct polarity.
4. Pair the transmitter and receiver: Press and hold the "Pair" button on the receiver unit for 3 seconds until the LED indicator starts flashing. Then, press and hold the "Pair" button on the transmitter unit for 3 seconds until the LED indicator starts flashing. The LED indicators on both units will turn solid when the pairing is successful.
5. Test the connection: To ensure that the transmitter and receiver are properly paired, press any button on the transmitter and verify that the corresponding action is performed on the irrigation controller.
