To check if your Grandstream GRP261x IP phone has a Gen 2 certificate, you can use the Grandstream certificate status website. Here are the steps:
1. Go to the website: https://upgradecert.grandstream.com:9...
2. Enter the MAC address of your device. If you have multiple MAC addresses, separate them on different lines. You can enter up to 1000 MAC addresses.
3. Enter the captcha code.
4. Click on the "Search" button.
5. The search result will show in a list. Look for the "New certificate status" column.
- If the "New certificate status" shows "Yes", it means your device already has a Gen 2 certificate built-in at the factory settings. There is no need to update the certificate.
- If the "New certificate status" shows "No", it means your device does not come with a Gen 2 certificate at the factory settings.
- If the "New certificate status" shows "N/A", it means your device is not eligible for a certificate update from this website. In such cases, please contact Grandstream Technical Support for assistance.
Note: If your device is not on the required firmware version that supports certificate updates, it will be automatically upgraded to the eligible firmware first. During the firmware upgrade and certificate update process, please do not power cycle or disconnect the device from the Internet.
After the certificate update process is completed, you can check the certificate status on the device's LCD menu by going to Status -> System Info. It will show the certificate as "GEN 2". This information is also available on the device's web UI by going to Status -> System Info page (for GRP261x/2624/2634/2670).
If you need further assistance with the certificate update process, you can contact Grandstream Technical Support through their helpdesk: https://helpdesk.grandstream.com/.
