To clean and maintain your David Francis Luxury Rattan Furniture, follow these guidelines:
1. For stained or painted finishes, use a soft, damp, lint-free cloth to clean the surface. Immediately dry it with another soft, dry cloth. Wipe with long straight strokes, following the grain, to avoid swirl marks.
2. Avoid using oil-based polish or products containing silicon, as they can damage the finish.
3. Keep the temperature range around your furniture between 50°F and 80°F (or 10° to 27°C) and maintain humidity levels between 25% and 40%. This will help preserve the finish and structure. Direct sunlight exposure may cause fading.
4. For fabrics, protect them from the sun by drawing shades during the day and using awnings whenever possible. Vacuum fabrics often to remove dust. Professional dry cleaning is recommended for upholstery cleaning.
5. Synthetic fibers vary in performance based on fabric construction and application. Finishes may help resist soil and stains, but proper care is still necessary. Spots should be given immediate attention by a professional dry cleaner.
6. For natural woven fibers, blot wet spills immediately and apply warm, soapy water with a clean, wet cloth to stains. Blot with a dry cloth and repeat until the area is dry and free of stains. For dry spills, remove loose debris with a handheld or standard vacuum, avoiding dragging bristles or vacuum heads across the surface.
