To set up and pair the VTech SN5107 Amplified Accessory Handset with the base unit, please follow these steps:
1. Make sure the base unit is connected to a power source and the phone line.
2. Place the handset on the charger for at least 16 hours before initial use to ensure a full charge.
3. Once the handset is fully charged, remove it from the charger.
4. On the base unit, press and hold the "Find Handset" button for about four seconds until the "In Use" light starts flashing.
5. On the handset, press the MENU button, then navigate to "Settings" using the navigation keys.
6. Select "Handset Setup" and then "Register Handset" from the menu.
7. The handset will display "Searching..." and will automatically search for the base unit.
8. Once the base unit is found, the handset will display the base unit's ID and prompt you to enter the system PIN code.
9. Enter the system PIN code (default is 0000) using the keypad on the handset.
10. Press the OK soft key to confirm the PIN code.
11. The handset will display "Registering..." and will automatically register with the base unit.
12. Once the registration is successful, the handset will display "Registration Complete" and you can start using it.
