To connect your speakers to the HALO JC 5 Stereo Power Amplifier, follow these steps:
1. Make sure the amplifier is turned off and unplugged from the power source.
2. Locate the speaker terminals on the back panel of the amplifier. These terminals accept speaker wires terminated with banana plugs, spade connectors, or bare wire.
3. If you are using bare wire ends, strip the insulation from the ends of your speaker wires to expose a 1/2" (13 mm) length of bare wire.
4. Twist the bare strands of each wire tightly to prevent any individual strands from making contact across the red plus and black minus speaker terminals.
5. Insert the stripped bare wire into the hole that goes vertically through each terminal's metal post. Make sure the positive (+) wire is connected to the red terminal and the negative (-) wire is connected to the black terminal.
6. If desired, you can solder the bare wire ends to prevent them from unraveling, fraying, and oxidizing.
7. Repeat steps 3-6 for each speaker you want to connect.
8. Once all the speaker wires are securely connected, double-check that the positive and negative polarity is correct for each speaker.
9. Turn on the amplifier and enjoy your music through the connected speakers.
