To install the MB QUART MBQRG-SUB-1 400 Watt Polaris RANGER Specific Subwoofer Tuned System, please follow these steps:
1. Before you begin, make sure to read through the instruction manual and check that all parts are present. Also, disconnect the negative battery terminal before installation.
2. Start by removing the hood of the vehicle by turning two latches.
3. Remove four push pins from the passenger side center console and five push pins from the driver side center console.
4. Remove the underseat tray from the passenger side.
5. Lift the center console upward, starting at the cupholder, and remove it from the vehicle.
6. Route the subwoofer extension harness from the middle of the dash out the grommet toward the front of the vehicle.
7. Pass the wires from the grommet to the radiator cap opening. If there are other wires present, zip tie them along.
8. Pass the wiring around any moving parts and down the frame toward the center console. Secure the wiring in place with zip ties.
9. Run the wiring along the air intake and secure it with zip ties to the power bus bar harness.
10. Route the subwoofer harness to the passenger side of the battery.
11. Drill a 1.25" hole and pass the subwoofer connection through the hole. Place a grommet in the hole.
12. Adjust the NA2-400.1 amplifier's gain and crossover settings as pictured in the manual. Set the gain to the last "L" on Level HPF, set the HPF to 100Hz just past "P" on LP LPF, and set the Subsonic to 35Hz going to "S" on Subsonic Boost 0dB.
13. Plug in the power harness pigtail to the amplifier and make appropriate power, ground, and remote connections.
14. Connect the subwoofer extension harness to the NA2-400.1 amplifier harness.
15. Connect the RCAs from your source unit to the NA2-400.1 amplifier.
16. Drill three 1/8" holes at marked indents in the floor. Only drill deep enough to get through the first layer of material.
17. Place the subwoofer enclosure under the passenger seat and secure it with three high-low T25 Torx screws and washers. Use two picks to align the enclosure with the holes in the vehicle and use the provided bit extension to reach the rear xxxx .
18. Connect the subwoofer enclosure harness to the subwoofer extension harness.
19. Reassemble the vehicle by placing the center console back in, inserting the push pins on the passenger and driver side consoles, and placing the battery cover into place.
20. Turn on the vehicle and radio to enjoy the music.
