To connect the TANNOY Platinum F6/B6 loudspeakers to your amplifier, follow these steps:
1. Identify the positive and negative terminals on your amplifier. The positive terminal is usually marked with a "+" symbol or colored red, while the negative terminal is marked with a "-" symbol or colored black.
2. Locate the positive and negative terminals on the back of each loudspeaker. The positive terminal is marked as "HF+" for the high-frequency unit.
3. Connect the positive terminal of the left channel on your amplifier to the positive HF terminal on the left speaker. Make sure to match the positive (+ or red) on the amplifier to the positive (+ or red) on the speaker.
4. Connect the negative terminal of the left channel on your amplifier to the negative HF terminal on the left speaker. Match the negative (- or black) on the amplifier to the negative (- or black) on the speaker.
5. Repeat the connection process for the right speaker, connecting the positive and negative terminals of the right channel on your amplifier to the corresponding terminals on the right speaker.
6. Once the connections are made, select a signal source, such as a CD player, and switch on the amplifier. Slowly turn up the volume control to check that both loudspeakers are reproducing bass and treble information.
Note: It is important to ensure that the positive and negative terminals are correctly matched to avoid phase cancellation and achieve proper stereo imaging.
