To properly torque the control arm bolts during installation of the Rough Country XP1000 1.5 Inch Fwd Offset HC Control Arms, follow the torque specifications provided in the installation instructions. The torque specs for the control arm bolts are as follows:
- 5/16" bolts: Grade 5 - 15 ft/lbs, Grade 8 - 20 ft/lbs
- 3/8" bolts: Grade 5 - 30 ft/lbs, Grade 8 - 35 ft/lbs
- 7/16" bolts: Grade 5 - 45 ft/lbs, Grade 8 - 60 ft/lbs
- 1/2" bolts: Grade 5 - 65 ft/lbs, Grade 8 - 90 ft/lbs
It is important to use the correct torque specifications for the specific grade of bolts being used. Make sure to tighten the bolts to the specified torque using a torque wrench to ensure proper installation and prevent over-tightening or under-tightening.
