To install the ELWELL AIR8 Integrated Air Conditioning unit, please follow the steps outlined in the instruction manual provided. Here is a summary of the installation process:
1. Choose a suitable location for installation that allows easy access for service work and removal/installation of the unit.
2. Mount the unit and duct it as shown in Figure 2 of the manual. Ensure unrestricted airflow to and from the condenser coil.
3. If space is limited, ensure that the power supply and wall pad cables are long enough for the unit to be taken out with the cables attached and the cover to be opened.
4. Install the unit in a central location in a stowage box or similar, to ensure even distribution of cold air in the living space.
5. Mount the unit to a horizontal and barrier-free floor. Use additional gaskets if the floor has grooves.
6. Ensure that the air inlet, air outlet, and condensation drain openings are properly positioned and accessible.
7. Avoid obstructing the air inlet/outlet with any obstacles.
8. Take precautions to protect the compressor, such as not tilting the unit more than 5 degrees horizontally during operation.
9. Install a splash guard if necessary to prevent wheel spray from reaching the openings under the floor.
10. Use the installation template provided to determine the space available for floor trepanning. Ensure proper clearances from walls and furniture items.
11. Seal the edges of the floor openings with underbody protection.
12. Secure the unit using the provided brackets and housing strap.
13. Connect the cold air ducts to the unit's outlets and route them to the air outlet nozzles. Ensure a secure connection.
14. Provide a circulated air return either through an additional rectangular air grille or several small openings with a total area of at least 50 sq.in.
15. Install the wall pad in a suitable location, ensuring easy access and unobstructed line of sight for the remote control.
16. Connect the power supply and wall pad cables according to the instructions, ensuring proper electrical connections and observing correct cable colors.
17. Make sure to follow all safety instructions and consult an expert if needed for the electrical connection.
18. Once the unit is installed, refer to the operating instructions in the manual for proper use and settings.
