According to the instruction manual, the prefilter should be replaced at least after 12 months of use. However, it is recommended to vacuum the prefilter from the exterior of the unit once a month or more often to remove dust and debris. This will help maintain the efficiency of the air purifier and prolong the lifespan of the prefilter.
