To connect the Phocos FR-B Series DC Chest Refrigerator Freezer to a battery or solar charge controller, follow these steps:
1. Remove the compressor/control access panel located on the unit using a Phillips head screwdriver.
2. Inside the compressor/control compartment, locate the electrical connection wires.
3. Connect and secure the red (positive) wire to the corresponding positive terminal of the battery/solar charge controller, making sure to avoid contact with any other wires or terminals. Ensure that the positive wire conductors are secure and undamaged.
4. Connect the black (negative) wire to the corresponding negative terminal of the battery/solar charge controller, avoiding contact with any other wires or terminals. Ensure that the negative wire conductors are secure and undamaged.
5. Replace the compressor access panel using a Phillips head screwdriver, taking care not to compress or damage the electrical wiring.
