To adjust the charging and load voltages on the phocos SPS48D150B Solar Power Supply Controller, follow these steps:
1. Press the CONTROL SET key on the keypad.
2. Use the INC and DEC keys to navigate through the settings menu.
3. Adjust the maximum boost voltage by selecting the "Maximum boost voltage" setting and using the INC and DEC keys to set the desired voltage.
4. Adjust the taper voltage by selecting the "Taper voltage setting" setting and using the INC and DEC keys to set the desired voltage. The taper voltage should be lower than the maximum boost voltage.
5. Select the number of banks in use by selecting the "Number of banks" setting and using the INC and DEC keys to set the desired number.
6. Adjust the float maximum voltage by selecting the "Float maximum voltage" setting and using the INC and DEC keys to set the desired voltage.
7. Adjust the float minimum voltage by selecting the "Float minimum voltage" setting and using the INC and DEC keys to set the desired voltage. The gap between the float maximum and minimum voltages should be 1-1.5 volts for minimum bank switching noise.
8. Set the return to boost setting by selecting the "Return to boost setting" setting and using the INC and DEC keys to set the desired voltage. This is the voltage at which the unit will switch from float mode back to boost mode.
9. If a temperature sensor is connected, adjust the temperature compensation setting by selecting the "Temperature Compensation setting" setting and using the INC and DEC keys to set the desired value. If no temperature sensor is connected, set the value to 0.
10. Adjust the absolute maximum battery voltage setting by selecting the "Absolute Maximum Battery Voltage setting" setting and using the INC and DEC keys to set the desired voltage. This setting prevents the battery voltage from exceeding a certain limit.
11. Set the state change delay by selecting the "State Change Delay setting" setting and using the INC and DEC keys to set the desired time delay between bank connection changes in boost mode.
12. Adjust the LCD temperature setting by selecting the "LCD temperature setting" setting and using the INC and DEC keys to set the desired temperature. This feature helps protect the control unit against condensation in humid conditions.
13. Adjust the viewing contrast by selecting the "Viewing Contrast" setting and using the INC and DEC keys to set the desired contrast.
14. Set the time of day by selecting the "Time (of day)" setting and using the INC and DEC keys to set the present time.
Note: The new values entered for controls will not be stored until you exit from the control set mode by pressing any display select key.
