To start the scheppach HP2500S Reversible Plate Compactor, follow these steps:
1. Check the engine oil level: Take the oil dipstick and clean it. Insert the oil dipstick into the engine and check the oil level without screwing it down. If the oil level is low, add the recommended oil. After adding oil, reassemble and xxxx the oil dipstick down.
2. Check the fuel level: Open the fuel tank cover and check the fuel level. If the fuel level is low, fill the tank with recommended unleaded gasoline. Make sure not to overfill the tank.
3. Move the fuel valve lever to the ON position.
4. If the engine is cold, move the choke lever to the CLOSE position. If the engine is warm, leave the choke lever in the OPEN position.
5. Move the throttle lever away from the SLOW position, about 1/3 of the way toward the FAST position.
6. Place the shift stick in the neutral position.
7. Turn the engine switch to the ON position.
8. Operate the recoil starter by pulling the starter grip lightly until you feel resistance, then pull briskly. Return the starter grip gently.
9. If the engine started with the choke lever in the CLOSE position, gradually move the choke lever to the OPEN position as the engine warms up.
10. After the engine warms up, pull the throttle lever to accelerate the engine speed and place the shift stick at the desired position. The plate will begin vibrating, and you can proceed with compacting.
Note: Always make sure the device is fully assembled before starting the engine. Follow all safety precautions and guidelines mentioned in the instruction manual.
