To ignite the pilot flame on the MOTAK MR4-C-S Gas Ranges With Griddles, please follow these step-by-step instructions:
1. Make sure all knobs are in the "OFF" position.
2. Ensure that the main gas valve is closed/off for at least five minutes prior to lighting the pilots to clear any existing gas. (The main gas valve is supplied by others.)
3. Turn on or open the main gas valve to the unit.
4. Locate the pilot access hole, which is located below the oven door. Open the kick panel below the oven door by lifting it up and then swinging it downward.
5. Press down the pilot xxxx and rotate it counterclockwise to the "PILOT" position. Continue pressing down on the xxxx .
6. Use a lighter to ignite the pilot flame through the ignition hole.
7. Once the pilot flame is ignited, continue pressing the xxxx for more than 20 seconds to heat up the thermocouple. If the ignition goes out when you loosen the xxxx , repeat this operation.
8. Release the xxxx and the pilot flame should remain lit.
9. If the pilot flame appears larger than necessary, turn it down using the pilot valve adjustment located in the front panel. Use a screwdriver to turn the valve counterclockwise to decrease the flame height.
10. Repeat these steps for each burner as each burner has its own individual pilot.
Please note that if you are experiencing any difficulties or if the pilot flame cannot be ignited, it is recommended to contact an authorized service technician for assistance.
