To adjust the charging and load voltages on the phocos SPS48D300B Solar Power Supply Controller, follow these steps:
1. Press the CONTROL SET key on the keypad.
2. Use the INC and DEC keys to navigate through the different settings.
3. Adjust the maximum boost voltage by selecting the "Maximum boost voltage" setting and using the INC and DEC keys to adjust the voltage value.
4. Adjust the taper voltage setting, which is the maximum voltage at which the charging current starts to reduce. This setting should be lower than the maximum boost voltage.
5. Select the number of banks in use. This setting determines the number of separate banks or sub arrays of photovoltaic panels that are connected.
6. Set the float maximum voltage and float minimum voltage. These voltages determine the range within which the battery voltage should be maintained during float mode.
7. Set the return to boost setting, which determines the battery voltage level at which the controller switches from float mode back to boost mode.
8. If a temperature sensor is connected, enable the temperature compensation feature and set the temperature compensation setting according to the temperature characteristics of the battery.
9. Set the absolute maximum battery voltage setting, which acts as a safety limit to prevent the battery voltage from exceeding a certain threshold.
10. Adjust the state change delay setting, which determines the time between bank connection changes in boost mode.
11. Set the LCD temperature setting to protect the control unit against condensation due to rapid cooling after a hot day in humid conditions.
12. Adjust the viewing contrast for the best display contrast.
13. Set the time of day.
14. Press any display select key to exit the control set mode and save the new values.
Please refer to the phocos SPS48D300B Solar Power Supply Controller User Manual for more detailed instructions and information on each setting.
