To set up the Fujitsu N1800 Network Scanner for network scanning, please follow these steps:
1. Connect the scanner to your network:
- Ensure that the scanner is powered off.
- Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on the scanner.
- Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to an available Ethernet port on your network switch or router.
2. Power on the scanner:
- Plug in the power cord of the scanner to a power outlet.
- Press the power button on the scanner to turn it on.
3. Configure network settings:
- On a computer connected to the same network, open a web browser.
- Enter the IP address of the scanner in the browser's address bar. You can find the IP address of the scanner by printing a network configuration page from the scanner's control panel.
- The scanner's web interface will open. Login using the default username and password provided in the operator's guide.
- Navigate to the network settings section and configure the necessary network settings, such as IP address, subnet mask, gateway, and DNS server.
- Save the settings and restart the scanner.
4. Install the scanner software:
- Insert the provided software CD into your computer's CD/DVD drive.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to install the scanner software. This software will enable you to scan and manage documents from your computer.
5. Test network scanning:
- Open the scanning software on your computer.
- Select the Fujitsu N1800 Network Scanner as the scanning device.
- Configure any desired scanning settings, such as resolution and file format.
- Initiate a test scan to ensure that the scanner is successfully connected to the network and functioning properly.
