To set up the FrSky GPS ADV Enhanced Original Sensor with the X8R receiver, please follow these steps:
1. Ensure that you have a FrSky Smart Port-enabled receiver, such as the X8R, X6R, or X4R.
2. Mount the GPS sensor in your model using Velcro, making sure that the "UP" side is facing towards the sky. This is important for proper sensing.
3. Connect the GPS sensor to the Smart Port of the X8R receiver.
4. Each FrSky Smart Port-enabled sensor has a unique physical ID. You can change the ID number using the Free Link software (available for Windows, Android, and iOS). Refer to the instruction manual of the FrSky Servo Channel Changer for details on how to change the ID.
5. The FrSky GPS ADV Sensor will feed variable directional information, such as altitude, position, speed, and UTC time, to your FrSky transmitter in real-time.
Note: The FrSky Smart Port-enabled sensors can be daisy-chained with each other through their Smart Port.
