To install the MeTra Lexus RX330 2004-2006 Dash Kit, follow these steps:
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal before starting the installation.
2. Use a panel removal tool and a Phillips screwdriver to unsnap and remove the shifter trim and power outlet panel below the radio.
3. Remove the four 10mm bolts securing the factory radio and unsnap it.
4. Remove two plastic snaps from the factory radio and install them onto the radio panel included in the kit.
5. For ISO DIN radio provision with pocket:
a. Mount the pocket to the radio brackets using the provided #8 x 3/8" Phillips screws.
b. Slide the radio into the radio brackets and secure it with the screws supplied with the radio.
c. Connect the factory wiring harness and antenna plug in the dash using the proper mating adapters from Metra and/or AXXESS.
d. Mount the new radio assembly into the dash, snap the radio panel over it, and reassemble the dash in reverse order of disassembly.
6. For Double DIN radio provision:
a. Mount the radio brackets to the aftermarket radio and secure them with the screws supplied with the radio.
b. Connect the factory wiring harness and antenna plug in the dash using the proper mating adapters from Metra and/or AXXESS.
c. Mount the new radio assembly into the dash and reassemble the dash in reverse order of disassembly.
7. Refer to the instructions included with the aftermarket radio for further guidance.
8. For proper operation of the climate controls, follow the wiring diagram provided in the manual. Depending on the model year and factory radio, a resistor may need to be added between specific pins of the factory wiring harness connector.
9. Once the wiring is complete, tape up the wires, including the resistor, to protect them from coming into contact with any metal. Push the connector back into the dash.
10. Remember to reconnect the negative battery terminal and ensure all accessories, switches, and airbag indicator lights are plugged in before cycling the ignition.
