To set up the Hunter 45030 NiteTime Plus Easy Set Timer for your lamp or small appliance, follow these steps:

1. Choose the Timer Setting: Before plugging the timer into a wall outlet, select the desired time program using the Program dial. There are eight pre-programmed settings to choose from, including basic On and Off timed settings triggered by lighting conditions, as well as randomly-timed modes for creating a lived-in appearance while you are away from home.

2. Adjust the Photosensitivity Dial: Find a suitable location for the timer and the lamp or appliance. Set the Program dial to your preferred setting. Set the Photosensitivity Dial to the minimum level. Plug the lamp or appliance into the NiteTime PlusTM and then plug the NiteTime PlusTM into a wall outlet. Slowly dial the Sensitivity dial from minimum to maximum until the lamp or appliance powers on. Avoid casting a shadow over the NiteTime PlusTM photocell. The Photosensitivity dial is now set.

3. Program Setup: Remove the NiteTime PlusTM from the wall and set the Program dial to your preferred program. Plug the NiteTime PlusTM back into the wall outlet. The NiteTime PlusTM is now set up to control your lamp or appliance.

4. Override Operation: The Override button on the front of the NiteTime PlusTM allows you to temporarily override the existing program and use the attached lamp or appliance without programming. Press the Override button once to power the lamp or appliance on or off (depending on the current program sequence). To return the NiteTime PlusTM to its programming, press the Override button one more time. If the Override button is not manually pressed to return to programming, the NiteTime PlusTM will automatically revert to programming during the next time sequence.
