Cleaning the Hoshizaki IM-240NE-28 self-contained ice machine is an important maintenance task to ensure optimal performance and hygiene. Here are the steps to clean the ice machine:
1. Turn off the power to the ice machine and unplug it from the power source.
2. Remove any ice from the ice storage bin and discard it.
3. Open the front panel of the ice machine to access the interior components.
4. Use a soft cloth or sponge and a mild detergent to clean the interior surfaces, including the ice storage bin, evaporator plate, and water distribution tube. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or materials that can damage the surfaces.
