Cleaning the Hoshizaki Cube Series IM-45CNE-25 Self-Contained Ice Machine is an important maintenance task to ensure optimal performance and hygiene. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to clean the machine:
1. Turn off the power supply to the ice machine and unplug it from the electrical outlet.
2. Open the front panel of the machine to access the ice-making compartment.
3. Remove any ice cubes or water from the ice-making compartment.
4. Prepare a cleaning solution by mixing a commercial ice machine cleaner with warm water according to the manufacturer's instructions.
5. Use a soft cloth or sponge soaked in the cleaning solution to wipe down the interior surfaces of the ice-making compartment, including the evaporator plate, water distribution tube, and ice storage bin. Pay special attention to any areas with visible dirt or buildup.
6. Rinse the interior surfaces thoroughly with clean water to remove any residue from the cleaning solution.
7. Clean the air filters located on the side or back of the machine by removing them and washing them with warm soapy water. Rinse them thoroughly and allow them to dry completely before reinstalling.
