To install the , follow these steps:
1. Turn off the power to the circuit at the main electrical panel.
2. Remove the existing outlet by unscrewing the mounting screws and gently pulling it out of the electrical box.
3. Disconnect the wires from the old outlet by loosening the terminal screws or removing the wires from the push-in terminals.
4. Connect the wires to the new Leviton T5325-WMP receptacle. The terminal screws accept up to #12 AWG copper or copper-clad wire, while the quick wire push-in terminals accept #14 AWG solid copper wire only. Make sure to match the wire colors (black to brass, white to silver, and green/bare to green grounding xxxx ).
5. Carefully fold the wires back into the electrical box, ensuring they are not pinched or damaged.
6. Align the Leviton T5325-WMP receptacle with the mounting holes in the electrical box and secure it in place with the provided mounting screws.
7. Turn the power back on at the main electrical panel and test the receptacle to ensure it is functioning properly.
