To install the IKEA VIDGA Curtain and Panel Hanging System, follow these steps:
1. Start by measuring your window to determine the width and height of the curtains or panel curtains you will need.
2. Choose the appropriate components from the shopping list provided in the user guide based on your desired configuration and measurements.
3. Begin by installing the wall fittings. Use the VIDGA wall fittings, either 12 cm or 6 cm, depending on your needs. Attach them to the wall or ceiling using screws or other appropriate hardware.
4. Next, install the single track rails. Cut the rails to the desired length using a hacksaw if necessary. Attach the rails to the wall fittings using the provided connectors.
5. If you need to create corners, use the VIDGA corner pieces. Attach them to the rails to allow for smooth movement around corners.
6. Attach the gliders/hooks to the rails. These will be used to hang your curtains or panel curtains. The VIDGA glider/hook packs come with 24 hooks each.
7. Finally, hang your curtains or panel curtains on the gliders/hooks. If desired, you can also use the RIKTIG curtain hooks to pleat the curtains.
