There are two methods for loading grease into the BE Power Equipment Mini Pistol Grip Grease Gun: 3 oz. cartridge loading and suction filling.
For 3 oz. cartridge loading:
1. Pull the plunger back and lock it in place to seal the unit and prevent leakage and contamination.
2. Remove the grease gun head and the plastic cap from the cartridge.
3. Insert the cartridge face down into the gun.
4. Remove the pull tab or flip top from the exposed end of the cartridge.
5. Replace the grease gun head.
6. Release the plunger lock and pump the lever handle several times to prime the grease gun.
Note: Air bleeder valves help remove air pockets from inside the cartridge and assist in priming the gun easier.
For suction filling:
1. Remove the grease gun head.
2. Submerge the open end of the gun into the bucket of grease.
3. Hold the gun firmly and securely, and slowly draw the plunger back to fill the gun.
4. Watch for the groove in the plunger rod to indicate that the gun is full, and then lock the plunger rod in place.
5. Replace the grease gun head onto the gun and release the plunger lock.
Note: Always keep the open end of the barrel submerged while drawing on the plunger to ensure no air gets sucked into the gun.
