To set up the BRESSER Night Explorer 80-400 Telescope with Backpack, follow these steps:
1. Choose a dark location with minimal light interference.
2. Find a flat and stable surface to set up the telescope.
3. Approximately 30 minutes before observing, position the telescope and accessories in the desired location to allow for temperature compensation.
4. Set up the tripod by pressing the push button on the tripod center rod and slowly pulling the tripod legs outwards until the tripod cross is fully extended.
5. Open the upper and lower locking clips on the tripod legs to extend them to the desired height.
6. Ensure the circular level on the tripod is centered to ensure a level stand. Adjust the lower parts of the tripod legs if necessary.
7. Close the locking clips and loosen the fixing xxxx for height adjustment.
8. Extend the tripod head to the desired height using the crank and hand-tighten the fixing xxxx for height adjustment.
9. Adjust the tripod head by loosening the fixing screws for horizontal and vertical movement. Tighten the screws by hand to set the tripod in the desired position.
10. Mount the optical tube assembly (OTA) on the tripod by pushing the locking lever on the tripod head to the FREE position and screwing the threaded xxxx of the tripod head plate into the thread of the mounting base of the OTA. Push the locking lever into the LOCK position.
11. Install any desired accessories, such as eyepieces or a diagonal mirror, by loosening the fixing screws, inserting the accessory, and tightening the screws by hand.
12. The telescope is now set up and ready for observation.
