No, you should only use bulbs as directed on the label on the lamp. The recommended bulb for this lamp is a Max 230V E14 1 x 40W Ball (not included), and it is recommended to use an LED bulb. Using a different type of bulb may not provide optimal performance and could potentially damage the lamp.
