To change the speed on the Metabo SBE 18 LTX Cordless Hammer Drill, you need to use the thumb-wheel located on the tool. The thumb-wheel is labeled with numbers 1 and 2, representing the different gear settings.
Here are the steps to change the speed:
1. Ensure that the drill is switched off.
2. Locate the thumb-wheel on the tool, which is used to select the speed.
3. Turn the thumb-wheel to the desired gear setting. Gear 1 is for low speed and high torque, suitable for screwdriving and drilling. Gear 2 is for high speed, suitable for drilling and impact drilling.
4. Only change the speed when the drill is in the process of running down. Briefly switch the drill on and off to allow it to come to a stop before changing the speed.
