Cleaning the air filter is an important maintenance task that can improve the cooling performance of your BOSCH Climate 5000 Series Ductless Mini Split Air Conditioner with Heat Pump. Here are the steps to clean the air filter:
1. Turn off the unit and disconnect its power supply before cleaning.
2. Locate the decorative grille on the indoor unit and push the two tabs toward the center simultaneously to open it.
3. Unplug the display panel cable from the control box on the main unit.
4. Remove the air filter from the unit.
5. Clean the dirt from the air filter using a vacuum cleaner or by washing it with water.
- If the dirt is conspicuous, wash the filter with a neutral detergent in lukewarm water.
- Avoid using water hotter than 40°C (104°F) as it can cause the filter to deform or become discolored.
6. Rinse the filter with clean water and allow it to air-dry. Do not let the filter dry in direct sunlight.
7. Reinstall the clean filter back into the unit.
8. Connect the display panel cable to the main unit.
9. Reinstall the decorative grille by aligning the tabs and pushing it back into place.
Regularly cleaning the air filter every two weeks can help maintain optimal cooling performance and ensure proper airflow. If the issue persists after cleaning the air filter, it is recommended to contact a qualified service technician for further assistance.
