To adjust the temperature in your Maytag MZF34X18FW upright freezer, follow these steps:
1. Locate the temperature control at the top front of the freezer compartment.
2. Press the TEMP SETTING button to display the current temperature setting. The recommended setting is "Colder."
3. If you need to adjust the temperature, press the TEMP SETTING button again to cycle through the available temperature settings from Cold to Coldest.
4. Select the desired temperature setting by stopping at the desired position on the display.
5. Wait for 24 hours between adjustments for the temperature to stabilize.
6. The freezer will cool continuously until it reaches the set temperature. After that, the compressor will turn on and off as needed to maintain the desired temperature.
Note: It is important to allow the freezer to cool for 6 to 8 hours before filling it with frozen food. The outside of the freezer may feel warm, which is normal as the heat is transferred from the inside to the surrounding air.
