To connect the Genelec 8320A/8330A monitors to your computer, you will need to follow these steps:
1. Ensure that both the monitors and the signal source (computer) are switched off before making any connections.
2. Connect the mains power by plugging the supplied mains cable into a mains socket with a protective earthed connection. Make sure not to connect to an unearthed mains supply or use an unearthed mains cable.
3. Connect the GLM network by using the supplied RJ45 cable. Start by connecting the GLM Adapter to your computer's USB port and the GLM network. Then, daisy-chain the monitors and subwoofers by connecting them to the GLM Adapter using the RJ45 cable. There is no specific sequence required for the daisy-chaining.
4. For analog audio input, use a balanced male XLR connector to connect your audio source to the analog audio input on the monitors.
5. For digital audio input (only available on the 8330A model), use a male XLR connector carrying an AES/EBU formatted digital audio signal to connect to the DIGITAL IN port on the monitor. If you want to route the digital audio to another monitor or subwoofer, you can use the XLR output (DIGITAL OUT).
Once all the connections have been made, you can switch on the monitors and the signal source.
Please refer to the user manual for more detailed instructions and illustrations on the connections.
