To install the ZENEC ZE-RCE3804 Rear View Camera for Ford Transit, follow these steps:
1. Remove the OE brake light insert from the vehicle. The method of removal depends on the type of vehicle you have. For vehicles with a plastic frame, unclip the plastic frame from the OE brake light and re-install it on the ZE-RCE3804 camera. For Transit models with fully integrated brake lights, access the brake light from the vehicle interior by removing the plastic covers in the roof area and unlocking the fixation clamps with needle nose pliers.
2. Route the 10m extension cable from the dashboard to the mounting location of the camera.
3. Connect the A/V RCA connectors of the extension cable to the appropriate camera inputs of your head unit, as indicated in the wiring diagram provided in the manual.
4. Connect the red/black power supply wires of the extension cable to the camera power outputs of your head unit.
5. Insert the power supply connector on the backside of the ZE-RCE3804 camera housing.
6. With all the wiring steps complete, insert the camera into the sheet metal recess and press it into position until the stainless steel clips lock in place.
Please note that using any other connection cable than the one included in the package will void your warranty. Additionally, while the camera is water- and dustproof with an IP68 rating, high-pressure water and steam jet devices used for vehicle cleaning may still damage the camera. Keep a distance of at least one meter between the water nozzle and the camera housing to prevent water intrusion.
