The pyrolytic self-cleaning function on the Fisher & Paykel OB60SC6CEPX2 60cm Oven is designed to break down food residue at a very high temperature, leaving a light ash that can be easily removed with a damp cloth. Here's how to use it:
1. Remove all accessories, shelves, and trays from the oven.
2. Close the oven door.
3. Press the "Pyrolytic" button on the control panel.
4. Use the temperature control dial to select the desired cleaning level: Light, Medium, or Heavy.
5. Press the "Start" button to begin the cleaning cycle.
6. The oven will lock the door and heat up to the selected cleaning temperature. This process may take several hours, depending on the level of cleaning chosen.
7. Once the cleaning cycle is complete, the oven will cool down and the door will unlock automatically.
8. Open the oven door and remove any remaining ash using a damp cloth or sponge.
It is important to note that during the pyrolytic self-cleaning cycle, the oven will become very hot. It is recommended to keep children and pets away from the oven and avoid touching the oven surfaces until it has cooled down completely.
