To install an option card in the Orolia SecureSync Time and Frequency Synchronization System, follow the steps outlined in the installation guide provided by Orolia. Here is a summary of the installation procedure:
1. Safely power down the SecureSync unit and remove the chassis cover.
2. Determine which slot the option card will be installed into.
3. If installing in a bottom slot (1, 3, or 5), remove the blank panel or existing option card in the slot. If a card is populating the slot above the bottom slot, remove it.
4. Insert the card into the slot by carefully pressing its connector into the mainboard connector and lining up the xxxx holes on the card with the chassis.
5. Using the supplied screws, secure the board and option plate into the chassis.
6. If installing in an upper slot (2, 4, or 6) with no card populating the bottom slot, place washers over the chassis xxxx holes and xxxx the standoffs into the chassis. Insert the option card into the slot, lining up the xxxx holes on the card with the standoffs. Secure the board and option plate into the chassis.
7. If installing in an upper slot above a populated bottom slot, remove the blank panel or existing option card. Remove the screws securing the card in the bottom slot. xxxx the standoffs into the option card in the bottom slot. Insert the option card into the slot above the existing card, lining up the xxxx holes with the standoffs. Secure the board and option plate into the chassis.
8. Connect any required cables and ensure they are aligned and fastened properly.
9. Replace the chassis cover and power on the unit.
10. Log in to the SecureSync web interface and verify that the installed card is identified.
11. If applicable, restore the SecureSync configuration that was previously backed up.
