The 8Bitdo Retro Mechanical Keyboard can be connected to your device using three different methods: 2.4G connection, wired connection, and Bluetooth connection.
1. 2.4G Connection:
- Turn the mode switch on the keyboard to "2.4".
- Connect the 2.4G receiver to the USB port of your device.
- The connection indicator on the keyboard will remain solid for 8 seconds and then turn off, indicating a successful connection.
To re-pair the keyboard and receiver:
- Turn the mode switch to "2.4".
- Hold the pair button on the keyboard for 3 seconds to enter pairing mode. The connection indicator will start blinking rapidly.
- Connect the 2.4G receiver to the USB port of your device.
- Wait for the keyboard to automatically pair with the receiver. The connection indicator will remain solid for 8 seconds and then turn off, indicating a successful connection.
2. Wired Connection:
- Turn the mode switch on the keyboard to "OFF".
- Connect the keyboard to the USB port of your device.
- Wait until the keyboard is successfully recognized by your device before using it.
3. Bluetooth Connection:
- Turn the mode switch on the keyboard to "BT 8BitDo Retro Keyboard" for 3 seconds.
- Press and hold the pair button on the keyboard for 3 seconds to enter pairing mode. The connection indicator will start blinking rapidly (this is required for the very first time only).
- Go to your device's Bluetooth settings and pair with "[8BitDo Retro Keyboard]". The connection indicator will remain solid for 8 seconds and then turn off, indicating a successful connection.
