Cleaning and descaling the Jura ENA 8 Metropolitan is an essential maintenance task to ensure optimal performance and longevity of the machine. Here is a step-by-step guide to cleaning and descaling:
1. Cleaning the Coffee Machine:
- Turn off the machine and unplug it from the power source.
- Remove the water tank and empty any remaining water.
- Rinse the water tank with clean water and refill it with fresh water.
- Add a Jura cleaning tablet to the water tank as per the instructions on the packaging.
- Place the water tank back into the machine.
- Place a container under the coffee spout to catch the cleaning solution.
- Turn on the machine and follow the on-screen instructions to start the cleaning cycle.
- Once the cleaning cycle is complete, rinse the water tank and fill it with fresh water.
- Run a rinse cycle to remove any remaining cleaning solution.
- Repeat the rinse cycle with fresh water to ensure thorough cleaning.
- Wipe the exterior of the machine with a damp cloth.
2. Descaling the Coffee Machine:
- Turn off the machine and unplug it from the power source.
- Remove the water tank and empty any remaining water.
- Dissolve a Jura descaling tablet in a container of warm water.
- Place the water tank back into the machine.
- Place a container under the coffee spout to catch the descaling solution.
- Turn on the machine and follow the on-screen instructions to start the descaling cycle.
- The machine will prompt you to add the descaling solution to the water tank.
- Once the descaling cycle is complete, rinse the water tank and fill it with fresh water.
- Run multiple rinse cycles with fresh water to remove any traces of descaling solution.
- Wipe the exterior of the machine with a damp cloth.
