Descaling is an important maintenance task to remove mineral deposits and ensure optimal performance of your De'Longhi ECP3120 espresso machine. Here are the steps to descale the machine, as outlined in the instruction manual:
1. Prepare the descaling solution: Follow the instructions on the descaling product to prepare the appropriate solution. Make sure to use a descaling product specifically designed for espresso machines.
2. Empty the water tank: Ensure that the water tank is empty before starting the descaling process.

7. Rinse cycle: Place the container back under the coffee spouts and repeat the process of pressing and holding the coffee delivery button to run a rinse cycle. This will flush out any remaining descaling solution from the machine.
8. Repeat rinsing: Repeat the rinse cycle with clean water at least two more times to ensure that all traces of the descaling solution are removed.
9. Clean the machine: After completing the descaling process, clean the filter holder, drip tray, and other removable parts according to the cleaning instructions provided in the manual.
10. Ready for use: Once the machine is clean and rinsed, it is ready for use. Enjoy your freshly descaled and clean espresso machine!
