Yes, the Alesis SR-16 Drum Machine allows you to create and store your own custom drum patterns. Here's how you can do it:
1. Press the PATTERN button to enter Pattern mode.
2. Use the VALUE dial to select an empty user pattern slot (1-100) where you want to create your pattern.
3. Press the RECORD button to enter Record mode.
4. Use the pads to input your drum hits. Each pad represents a specific drum or percussion sound.
5. To change the velocity (volume) of a drum hit, press and hold the pad while striking it harder or softer.
6. Use the TEMPO/TAP button to set the tempo for your pattern.
7. Use the TIME/VALUE button to select the note value (16th, 8th, etc.) for your drum hits.
8. Use the pads to create your desired drum pattern, combining different drum hits and rhythms.
9. Press the PLAY button to audition your pattern.
10. If you're satisfied with your pattern, press the SAVE button.
11. Use the VALUE dial to select a location to save your pattern (1-100).
12. Press the SAVE button again to confirm and save your pattern.
Your custom drum pattern is now saved and can be recalled at any time. Refer to the user manual for more detailed instructions and additional features of the Alesis SR-16 Drum Machine.
