To update the firmware on your Pioneer AVIC-Z1000DAB Navigation AV System, please follow these steps:
1. Visit the Pioneer website at https://www.pioneer-car.eu/uk/ and navigate to the Support section.
2. Search for your specific model, AVIC-Z1000DAB, and locate the firmware update files.
3. Download the latest firmware update file to your computer.
4. Extract the contents of the downloaded file to a USB flash drive.
5. Insert the USB flash drive into the USB port on your Pioneer AVIC-Z1000DAB unit.
6. Turn on the navigation system and go to the Settings menu.
7. Select the System Information option and check the current firmware version.
8. If the firmware version on the USB flash drive is newer, a prompt will appear asking if you want to update the firmware. Select Yes to proceed.
9. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the firmware update process. Do not turn off the unit or remove the USB flash drive during the update.
10. Once the update is finished, the unit will restart automatically. Verify that the firmware has been successfully updated by checking the System Information menu.
