To start recording with the Philips DVT3500/00 Digital Voice Tracer, follow these steps:
1. Make sure the device is powered on by pressing the power button.
2. Press the "REC" button on the front of the device to start recording.
3. Use the menu button to navigate to the recording mode options. You can choose between PCM (Stereo) or MP3 (Mono) formats.
4. Select your desired recording mode by pressing the corresponding button on the device.
5. The device will now start recording audio. You can monitor the recording status on the LCD screen.
6. To stop recording, press the "STOP" button.
