To start recording with the Sony ICD-AX412 Stereo Digital Voice Recorder, please follow these steps:
1. Insert Batteries: Open the battery compartment on the back of the device and insert two AAA batteries. Make sure to align the batteries correctly according to the polarity markings.
2. Power On: Press and hold the Power/Menu button located on the right side of the device until the display turns on.
3. Select Recording Mode: Use the Jog Dial located on the front of the device to select the desired recording mode. The available modes are Normal, Focus, and Wide Stereo. Press the Jog Dial to confirm your selection.
4. Adjust Recording Settings (Optional): If desired, you can adjust the recording settings such as recording level, low-cut filter, and VOR (Voice Operated Recording) sensitivity. Refer to the operating instructions manual for detailed information on these settings.
5. Start Recording: Press the REC/PAUSE button located on the right side of the device to start recording. The REC indicator will light up, indicating that the device is recording.
