To switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius on the Paryvara TH 1420 Infrared Digital Thermometer, follow these steps:
1. Make sure the thermometer is turned off. If it is on, leave it untouched for 10 seconds for it to shut down.
2. Hold onto the "Ear" button for 8-12 seconds while the thermometer is turned off.
3. The display will initially show "_ _ _ M" (notice "_ _ _ M" appears first, continue until you see "_ _ _ ºF").
4. Release the "Ear" button as soon as you see "_ _ _ ºF".
5. Within 5 seconds, press the "Ear" button again.
6. The LCD display will change to "_ _ _ ºC", indicating that the temperature unit has been switched to Celsius.
7. Wait for the thermometer to shut down automatically.
