To start recording with the Sony ICD-PX470 Stereo Digital Voice Recorder, follow these steps:
1. Power on the device by sliding the Power/Hold switch to the ON position.
2. Press the REC/PAUSE button to enter recording mode. The REC indicator will light up.
3. Adjust the recording settings if desired. You can choose the recording format (MP3 or Linear PCM), adjust the microphone sensitivity, and enable features like Voice Activation and Noise Cut.
4. Position the recorder close to the sound source for optimal recording.
5. Press the REC/PAUSE button again to start recording. The REC indicator will flash during recording.
6. To pause the recording temporarily, press the REC/PAUSE button again. Press it again to resume recording.
7. To stop the recording, press the STOP button. The recording will be saved automatically.
