To adjust the recording settings on the Sony ICD-SX57 Digital Voice Recorder, follow these steps:
1. Press the MENU button on the recorder to enter the menu mode.
2. Use the navigation buttons (up, down, left, right) to select "REC SET" and press the ENTER button.
3. In the "REC SET" menu, you can choose the following options:
- REC FORMAT: Select the desired recording format (MP3 or Linear PCM).
- REC MODE: Choose the recording quality (High, Standard, or Long Play) for MP3 format. For Linear PCM format, the quality is fixed at CD quality.
- VOR (Voice Operated Recording): Set the sensitivity level for voice activation recording.
- LOW CUT: Enable or disable the low-cut filter to reduce low-frequency noise during recording.
- ADD REC: Choose whether to add new recordings to existing files or create separate files.
- REC LEVEL: Adjust the recording level manually or set it to Auto.
- REC TIMER: Set a timer for automatic recording start and stop.
4. Use the navigation buttons to select the desired option and press the ENTER button to confirm your selection.
5. Press the MENU button to exit the menu mode.
