To charge the battery of the Brecknell 816965001811 Electronic Crane Scale, follow these steps:
1. Plug the AC adapter into a properly grounded 120VAC outlet.
2. Locate the charging jack on the back panel of the scale, near the top.
3. Plug the charging jack into the receptacle at the top of the scale.
4. The red light next to the receptacle should come on, indicating that charging is taking place.
5. Leave the scale plugged in for the recommended charging time. The battery life should be at least eight hours after charging.
6. Periodically check the battery visually and recharge as needed to ensure optimal battery performance.
7. To maximize battery life, charge the battery periodically, especially when the scale is not in use for long periods of time.
