The installation process for the NOVUS RHT-P10 Transmitter involves both mechanical and electrical installation. Here are the steps:
Mechanical Installation:
1. Fix the electronics module of the RHT-P10 to the wall using the two fixing holes on the module.
2. Insert the remote sensor module into a threaded flange. Please note that the mounting flange is not included with the transmitter and must be purchased separately.
Electrical Installation:
1. The transmitter can be ordered as either a 4-20 mA current output or a 0-10 Vdc voltage output. The output signal type is defined at the time of purchase and cannot be changed later.
2. Use jumpers J4 and J5 within the transmitter housing to configure the variables to be monitored and the transmitter terminals where the output signals will be available. Refer to Table 1 in the manual for different configuration options.
3. Connect the output signal wires to the measuring instrument (indicator, controller, register, etc.) using the appropriate connections shown in the manual.
4. Ensure that the loop OUT1 is always powered in the 4-20 mA model.
Installation Recommendations:
- Separate conductors of small electric signals from activation conductors or higher current or power in the system plan.
- Use a network proper for instrumentation to supply power to the instrument.
- Consider the potential failure of any part of the system in control and monitoring applications.
- Use RC filters (47 Ω and 100 nF, series) in parallel with coils of contactors and solenoids, etc.
Please refer to the manual for detailed diagrams and illustrations of the installation process.
Note: The information provided here is a summary of the installation instructions. For complete and accurate installation guidance, please refer to the NOVUS RHT-P10 Transmitter Instruction Manual.
