To set up the Krevi Dual Band WiFi Booster, you have two options: using the WPS button on your router or through a browser interface. Here are the step-by-step instructions for both methods:
Using WPS Button Setup:
1. Make sure your router has a WPS button.
2. Plug the Krevi Dual Band WiFi Booster into an electrical outlet near your router.
3. Wait for the LED lights on the booster to illuminate, indicating it's powered on.
4. Press the WPS button on your router.
5. Within a minute, press the WPS button on the WiFi booster.
6. Wait for a few moments until the two devices are connected. A solid LED light on the booster usually indicates a successful connection.
Using Browser Interface Setup:
1. If your router does not have a WPS button, you can connect to the booster's default WiFi network using a smartphone, tablet, or computer.
2. Open a web browser on your device and enter "192.168.188.1" in the address bar.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the booster to your existing WiFi network.
4. During the setup process, you may be prompted to create a new network name (SSID) or use the same name as your existing network.
5. Enter the password of your existing WiFi network when prompted.
6. Once the setup is complete, you can move the booster to its desired location within the range of your router but closer to the area with a weak signal.
Note: If you experience any connection issues, try unplugging and replugging the booster. If problems persist, you can reset the booster to its factory settings (usually a small button on the device) and go through the setup process again.
