Descaling the coffee maker is an important maintenance task to remove any lime scale deposits that may affect the performance of the appliance. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to descale the TZS FA-5450-3 Turkish Coffee Maker:
1. Fill the kettle up to the "MAX" level with a mixture of one part ordinary vinegar and two parts water.
2. Switch on the coffee maker and wait for it to automatically switch off.
3. Let the vinegar-water mixture remain inside the kettle overnight.
4. The next morning, discard the mixture.
5. Fill the kettle with clean water up to the "MAX" level and boil it again.
6. Discard this boiled water to remove any remaining scale and vinegar.
7. Rinse the inside of the kettle with clean water.
It is recommended to descale the coffee maker at least twice a year with normal use. The frequency of descaling may vary depending on the water hardness in your area and the frequency of use. Descaling helps maintain the heating capacity and ensures the taste of your beverage remains unaffected.
Please note that the descaling process should only be done with the vinegar-water mixture as specified in the instructions. Do not use any other descaling agents or chemicals as they may damage the coffee maker.
