To install the Steinel L 585 S Anthracite Motion Sensor Wall Light, follow these steps:
1. Disconnect the power supply before starting any work on the SensorLight. Switch off the power and use a voltage tester to ensure there is no voltage present.
2. Familiarize yourself with the electrical installation regulations and conditions applicable in your country (DE-VDE 0100, AT-ÖVE-ÖNORM E8001-1, CH-SEV 1000).
3. Identify the phase conductor (usually black, brown, or grey), neutral conductor (usually blue), and protective-earth conductor (if present, green/yellow).
4. Loop the protective-earth conductor through if necessary.
5. Install a mains power switch in the supply lead to turn the unit ON and OFF.
6. Make sure to connect the phase conductor (L) to the appropriate terminal and the neutral conductor (N) to the corresponding terminal.
7. Reversing the connections may result in damage to the unit.
8. Ensure that the circuit is protected by a 10 A circuit breaker.
9. The minimum installation height should be 1.70 m.
10. Engage the light arm in the bracket to protect the internal wires from strain (refer to Fig. 4 in the manual).
Please note that these are general installation instructions. It is always recommended to consult a professional electrician for proper installation and adherence to local electrical regulations.
