Check the packaging and manual to see if a lens hood is included with your purchase. The Sigma 210101 lens typically comes with a bayonet type detachable lens hood. The lens hood helps to prevent flare and ghosted images caused by bright illumination from outside the picture area. To attach the hood, align the hood's mounting grooves with the lens hood mount on the lens and turn it clockwise until it stops rotation. If a lens hood is not included in the package, you may purchase one separately.
