To install and set up the sensata IWmAT Series Industrial Wireless 4-20 Ma Loop Transmitter, please follow the instructions below:
1. Unpacking: Carefully inspect the device for any signs of damage. If any damage is found, do not use the instrument and contact your supplier immediately.
2. Installing/Changing the Battery: The transmitter is powered by a primary 3.6 V lithium cell. To change the battery, make sure to observe the correct battery polarity. After changing the battery, switch on the unit using the yellow slider switch (SW3) and then push and hold the pushbutton (SW1) for 5 seconds to reset the battery life count. The internal red LED will flash 5 times to indicate a successful reset. Dispose of the old battery according to the regulations.
3. Setting up the Transmitter: The transmitter comes with a default configuration that allows it to connect with any default IWR receiver unit and transmit the measured signal every 10 seconds. If you need to change the update rate or network frequency channel, you can use the DIP switches on the transmitter.
- DIP Switches 1, 2, 3, and 4: Select the RF Network the transmitter will transmit on. The default network is network 1.
- DIP Switches 5, 6, and 7: Select the transmission rate of the unit. The default rate is 10 seconds.
- DIP Switches 8, 9, and 10: Set the Channel Number of the transmitter. Channels 1 to 128 can be used with an IWR-USB, IWR-PORT, or IoT Gateway receiver.
4. Troubleshooting: If you encounter any issues, refer to the troubleshooting guide provided in the manual. It covers common problems and their possible causes, such as LED not flashing, incorrect output from the receiver, etc.
